2019 NCAA football preseason Rankings

AP top 25 teams to kick off the 2019 season.   Clemson is back to defend its title from last season.  This year's NFL draft snatched the core of that championship defense that dominated everybody.  4 SEC teams in the top 10 look to dethrone the champs.  Florida and Texas had a bounce back season.  Kentucky is my biggest surprise at 12.  Had to double check, but there is no UCLA or USC in the top 25.  Washington and Washington State represent the Pac-12.

  2. Alabama

Heisman, Championship week roundup, Bowl preview

We are at the end of the year where coaches have been fired, teams are in bowl games, and the players of the year have been crowned.

Join my Capital One bowl picks group named 'Bready Bowl Challenge.'

Prove to me that you are a better college bowl game picker.

Heisman Winner

        Baker Mayfield

The walk on transfer from Texas Tech has grown into a Heisman winner for Oklahoma.  MVP of last season's Sugar Bowl picked up right where he left off from a last season.  With 4,340 yards 41 touchdowns and 5 rushing touchdowns, this man deserves to win the Heisman.  Was a finalist for the award last season, remained in the race all season this years.  I think he will make someone's NFL team better.

2. Bryce Love - 2nd leading rusher in the nation had great year for Stanford.  Outstanding reader in the hole bursted through for 1,973 yards 17 touchdowns this season.

3. Lamar Jackson - Returning winner from last season, some argue that he had a better season this year.  His team had similar wins/losses, he threw a better percentage, but threw and ran for less touchdowns.  He did become a better QB this season but Baker shined brighter this season preventing a 2nd ever back to back Heisman winner.

Championship week Roundup
Conference championships at the end of the year are huge indicators to who gets into the college football playoff.  The Big 12 did them self well by adding the championship game this year.  Here's what happened in the Conference championships:

  • Big 12 - Oklahoma solidified itself as a playoff team after trampling TCU.  Baker threw 4 touchdowns.
  • Big 10 - Jerome Baker LB for Ohio State recorded 16 tackles helped hold Wisconsin to 60 yards rushing.  The Buckeyes put an end to the Badgers undefeated season and playoff chances.
  • SEC - Georgia 238 yards rushing dismissed Auburn out of the playoffs with a 28-7 victory
  • Pac-12 - USC won its first conference title since 2008.  Sam Darnold shined with Ron Jones who rushed for 140 and 2 td's.
  • ACC - Clemson blanked the Hurricanes 38-3.  The reigning champs are looking like the favorite to win it after performing so well the last few weeks Image result for Kelly bryant 2017 conference championship gamesince Kelly Bryant returned
  • American Athletic Conference - UCF remains undefeated in a double overtime shootout 62-55.  Memphis really played lights out and the Knights win.  McKenzie Milton 494 yards passing 5 touchdowns was incredible to watch.
  • MAC - Toledo finish with a MAC championship 11-2 defeating Akron
  • Conference USA - Lane Kiffin's FAU team got 164 yards 3 touchdowns from Devin Singletary in a blowout over North Texas.
  • Mountain West - Fresno took the victory a week before Boise escaped with this one 17-14
