Brice Johnson has been a monster during the tournament.  His 20 and 10 outing combined with Marcus Paige's 21 point 6 assist gave Indiana no chance to catch up.

Notre Dame's smothering defense at the end of their game against Wisconsin stole their chances at an elite 8 appearance, turning it into an all ACC matchup in the East and Midwest.

Round 2 was enjoyable to watch for some teams not so much for the others.  Some superstars came to play and some Cinderella teams ended their run in the second round.  After 10 double digit seeds survived the first round, only 2 moved on to the sweet 16.  So who were the biggest winners and losers from each region?

East

Winners:  Notre Dame, Indiana, Wisconsin, Brice Johnson, and Bronson Koening.
Bronson Koening dropped 20 points and had an epic ending to a game that Xavier had no answers for.  Game winning 3 from the side in front of his bench with hand in his face BOOM! Sent them packin.  Indiana, another rep from the Big 10, sent Kentucky packing with fantastic team play. Brice Johnson for North Carolina is the best all around player in the country.  He had another dominating performance over Providence scoring 21 grabbing 10 rebounds.

Loser:  Steven F. Austin's rebounding.  On the final second of the game one couldn't tip the ball away to prevent the game winning tip in.

West
Winners:  Buddy Hield, Texas A&M.  Buddy Hield shooting style has been compared to MVP Steph Curry.  He shot lights out in a game that Oklahoma trailed for part of the game until "Buddy Buckets" got hot.  He dropped a cool 36 points on VCU.  Texas A&M took advantage of a confused UNI team that Danuel House came alive for.  House took the game in his hands late 2nd half and overtime for the victory.

Loser:  Northern Iowa had 1 thing to do and made it the toughest task.  They could not inbound the basketball on 5 or 6 consecutive occasions losing a 12 point lead in the final 30 seconds.

Midwest

Player Winners:  Georges Niang dropped 28pts is Top 10 NBA talent, will match up well against #1 seed Virginia.  Gonzaga's Domantas Sabonis picked up 19 points and 10 rebs.

Loser:  Utah came in as a 3 seed was obviously overrated by the panel

South

Winners:  Angel Rodriguez, Maryland Terrapins, and Kansas.

Kansas is the overall favorite to win it and their overall team play in the last month proves why they are.  Wayne Seldon dropped 22pts 7 rebs in a beast performance against UConn.  Their team collectively is dangerous.  Maryland stands in their way.  Maryland shot terrible from the 3 pt line  (1-18) against Hawaii managed to play good defense and get the win.  Miami faces Villanova next round.
Player Winner:  The Hurricanes are led by Angel Rodriguez who scored 28 points and 5 assists is fun to watch.

Losers:  Hawaii
Hawaii shot a measly 32% from the field had a chance to pull off the win but fell apart towards the end.
