College Football Final Week Roundup!

Week 13 recap

• The Iron Bowl was the most anticipated game and Auburn stumped the #1 team in the land Alabama.  Terryon Johnson threw and ran for a touchdown in the victory.  Jarrett Stidham was 21/28 accurately picking apart a really good defense in Alabama.

• Pittsburgh knocked off the Hurricanes holding Miami to only 45 yards rushing as a team.

• Rodney Anderson 4 touchdowns on the ground for Oklahoma while Baker Mayfield leads the Heisman votes threw 3 touchdowns beating West Virginia.

• Clemson escapes their rivalry with South Carolina behind Hunter Renfroe's 2 touchdown receptions

• Jonathan Taylor rushed for 149 yards 1 td in a shutout victory against the Gophers to retain the 'Axe               '

• Matt Boesen recorded 5.5 sacks while Kenny Hill threw 3 TD passes in a TCU win to clinch a Big 12 championship berth.

• Ole Miss dominates the Egg Bowl.  Fitzgerald had a gruesome injury that pretty much kept the Bulldogs out.  AJ Brown 167 yards rec helped Ole Miss seal the win.

• UCF remained unbeaten in a thrilling game that featured South Florida's QB Quinton Flowers throwing for 503 yards TD while  rushing for 102 yards 1 TD.  UCF's QB McKenzie Milton also threw 4 touchdowns ran 1.  UCF remaining unbeaten through the season demands respect for being ranked so low.

Heisman Race

1. Baker Mayfield - Will have center stage to showcase his final performance as a Heisman finalist winner.  If he bombs he still has a good chance of winning after a great season this year
2. Bryce Love - Has had an amazing season while fighting ankle injury.  2nd in the nation in rushing and 16 rush td's.  Love has kept his team relevant and now playing in the Pac-12 championship game to showcase his talents.
3. Jonathan Taylor - 3rd leading rusher in the nation has kept his team undefeated.  I enjoy watching this young man run.  Is 120 yards away from breaking Adrian Petersen's freshman rushing record
4. JT Barrett Tied for the most wins by QB in Ohio State history.
5. Sam Darnold -12th in the nation in passing yards.

CFB Week 12 PREVIEW & Heisman Race

WEEK 11 Recap

This week teams will continue to fight for the top playoff spots also fighting for conference championships.  Some big games from last week knocked some teams out of a chance.  We saw a lot of movement from the playoff rankings this week.  Alabama and Clemson are back 1,2.  Here's a rundown of how week 11 went down:

• Auburn blew out Georgia.  They held the bulldogs to 46 yards rushing.

• Jalen Hurts proved himself a winner with some of the big time throws he was making.  Jalen threw for 262 1 TD and ran for a touchdown.  Exciting game came to the end with a failed Hail Mary attempt out the back of the end zone.

• The turnover chain was worn by 4 different Hurricane defenders in a blowout against Notre Dame.  Malik Rossier had a touchdown pass and run.

• Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor rushed for 157 yards on 29 carries in a stomping versus the Hawkeyes

• Bryce Love's 166 yards 3 TD's for Stanford out shined Washington's RB Myles Gaskin 3 TD's with a win.  Knocking the Huskies out of playoff contention in my mind.

• USC clinched the Pac 12 South and kept themselves alive in the hunt.  Ron Jones II is fast and fun to watch.  He ran for 142 yads, Ajene Harris had 2 picks taking one for a touchdown, and Sam Darnold threw for 329 yards with a rush TD

• Ohio State blowout of Michigan State put them back in the top 10

• Saquan Barkley rushed for 2 touchdowns keeping their playoff hopes alive

• Oklahoma State barely escapes another upset by Iowa State with a game winning INT in the end zone.  Mason Rudolph threw 3 TD's and Justice Hill ran for 3.

• Taquan Marshall QB from Georgia Tech threw 8 passes the entire game, 2 completions both for 60 and 80 yard touchdowns to beat Virginia Tech.

• UCF stays undefeated with 4 rushing touchdowns
