Week 9 Recap
Big 10 had the most exciting game of the season with 2 Heisman hopefuls squaring off. Very exciting game to watch from the opening kickoff until the end of the game. The season is winding down and things are getting dicey. Every game is a playoff game for the teams in the top 25. Here is the rundown from week 9:- Penn State started the game hot with the opening Kickoff return touchdown by Saquan Barkley, but the Buckeyes answered. JT Barrett finished the game 13/13 passing with 3td's in the 4th quarter with the victory
- Georgia's Sonny Michel had 6 carries 137 yards and 2 touchdowns in a victory over the Gators
- TCU went on the road and was stunned by Iowa State.
- Miami survives another close game with Malik Rossier's 3 td's 356yards passing and 3 int's by the defense. My favorite player Michael Jackson got an interception as well
- Notre Dame got 202 rushing yards from Josh Adams in a win over NC State
- Baker Mayfield threw 4 td passes. Ceedee Lamb caught 9 for 147 yards and 2 td's with the win against Texas Tech
- JD King had 36 carries 142 yards in an Oklahoma State win
- Washington won with 5 touchdown runs and 333 yards rushing
- Northwestern survived a triple overtime thriller against Michigan State. Paddy Fisher led the defense with 17 tackles
- Houston ruined South Florida's undefeated season with a late TD by D'Eric King
- UCF put 73 points while staying unbeaten
- USC's RB Ron Jones ran for 216 yards in a win against Arizona State
Heisman Race
- JT Barrett - In my mind it is now his trophy to lose. Thrown 25 touchdowns only 1 int. Has had an amazing career!
- Saquan Barkley - scored 2 td's last week. Still the most electric player in college football
- Baker Mayfield - Has completed 72% of passes on the season with a huge game that could determine if he's a serious Heisman hopeful or not
- Mason Rudolph - Leads the nation with 2866 yards passing. Will face off with his team's season and Heisman hopes on the line
- Jalen Hurts - Off the bye week has a chance to solidify himself as one of the best players in the nation
Week 10 Preview - College Football Playoff Rankings
The first CFP rankings are out and it comes with a different perspective than the AP poll. It gives the Bulldogs the upper hand over Alabama.
